During Alabama’s practice session on Tuesday, Jah-Marien Latham sustained a neck injury and was taken by ambulance to UAB St. Vincent’s Hospital, according to head coach Kalen DeBoer’s statement that was shared by Yea Alabama on X.

This injury comes just days before Alabama’s game against Georgia, and the injury to Latham could make him the third defensive lineman to miss time this season for the Tide.

Here is DeBoer’s full statement:

“During today’s practice session, Jah-Marien Latham sustained a neck injury. He was transported to UAB St. Vincent’s Hospital for further evaluation and care. We are pleased to report that Jah has full feeling and motion, and he is currently undergoing a thorough medical assessment to determine the next steps in his recovery. Our top priority is Jah’s health and well-being. We are in close contact with his family and the medical team and will continue to support him in every way possible. Further updates will be provided as appropriate.”

The senior linebacker has only played in one game for Alabama this season as dealt with a lower-body injury.

In the same week that the Tide get running back Jam Miller and defensive tackle Tim Keenan III back from injury, the injury bug hits the team again. The loss of Latham is going to make Alabama’s front seven even thinner ahead of a showdown in Athens against Georgia.
