Alabama football is set to take on the Georgia Bulldogs on the road for its fourth game of the season.

Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CST. The game will be broadcast on ABC.

The staff at Touchdown Alabama provides their predictions and analysis of the game.

JUSTIN SMITH / Managing EditorĀ

Key Analysis: This game has very high stakes for both sides. The Crimson Tide are attempting to avoid dropping to 2-2 and possibly out of the AP Top 25. A loss would give the Tide a very steep climb for the rest of the season. Kirby Smart is looking to destroy the narrative he has an Alabama problem. The Crimson Tide has all the talent needed to pull off what some will call an upset. The outcome of the game will depend on if the Tide can match Georgia’s physicality in the trenches and overcome the adversity it will inevitably face in this one on a loud Sanford Stadium.

Prediction: Alabama: 28 Georgia: 24

Key Analysis: Alabama football and the Georgia Bulldogs look to add another chapter to their anticipated rivalry. The Tide enters a hostile environment, where they must start fast and be physical on both sides of the ball or things could get ugly. I expect the Ty Simpson and the Crimson Tide offense to lean on the return of Jam Miller and the shiftiness of freshman running back Kevin Riley early on by getting them in space on short tosses as an extension of the run game to help establish their rushing attack as the night goes on. This will allow Georgia’s secondary & linebackers to play honest, opening opportunities for Simpson to find Alabama’s talented plethora of receivers downfield. Defensively, Alabama must match intensity, stay disciplined, and get off the field on third down. In doing so, generating a routine pass rush must also be apart of the plan. This will force Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton into bad decisions on later downs, where Alabama’s secondary can take advantage and create turnovers. Lastly, Alabama must play clean football and not shoot itself in the foot with costly penalties.

Prediction: Alabama: 38 Georgia: 35

Key Analysis: If Alabama’s offensive line holds up in this game against Georgia, the Crimson Tide will end up scoring a touchdown in every quarter. It is early in the season, but it looks like the Tide’s receiving core has the potential to be one of the best in the nation. Ryan Williams is a superstar who can stop on a dime and take any catch to the house. Germie Bernard is the player who can be used in a multitude of ways. Getting him the football either through the air, on a jet sweep etc. will help the Tide sustain drives early in the first half. Alabama also has Isaiah Horton and Lotzeir Brooks finding their footing in the offense, and Jam Miller is back at running back today for Alabama. He’ll likely get some early touches to knock the rust off, but do not be shocked if he catches a pass or two out of the backfield. However, Georgia will likely run the ball close to 50 times today, and they factor quarterback Gunner Stockton into the run game, too. Alabama’s defense has not looked great against the run when the opposing team has a mobile quarterback. This game could be a shootout, but Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs have beaten Alabama once in his tenure as head coach, and one could argue that Georgia pulled out a National Title win over Alabama a few years ago because Alabama’s best receivers were injured. Alabama could be his kryptonite.

Prediction: Alabama: 38 Georgia: 35
