Avrian Pauley reported an offer from Alabama in late September and made a trip to Tuscaloosa last weekend to check out the Crimson Tide.

Pauley attends McGill-Toolen High School in Mobile, Alabama, and he is a member of the 2027 recruiting class. His recruitment is trending in a positive direction with recent offers from Alabama, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech.

The Crimson Tide’s defensive line coach Freddie Roach informed Pauley of his offer from the Tide.

“I was overjoyed,” Pauley said. “As an Alabama fan, it was truly an unbelievable moment when he told me that he offered me.”

The junior was able to go on the campus of the University of Alabama over the weekend and got to see the Tide defeat Vanderbilt.

“It was great,” Pauley said. “The game day atmosphere was crazy. I got to have a great one-on-one talk with Kalen Deboer and Kane Wommack.”

Catching up with Alabama’s staff in person was one of the highlights of Pauley’s visit.

“Meeting them and them talking to me about how they want me to fit in with their scheme was amazing, and it showed me that they want to build a relationship with me early,” Pauley told Touchdown Alabama.

At 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, Pauley has the potential to play multiple positions along the Tide’s defensive front in the future with his versatility.
