Alabama football’s wolf linebacker, Qua Russaw continues to work himself back onto the football field after suffering a broken foot earlier in the season.
Russaw went down with the injury against Georgia. Alabama’s defensive coordinator Kane Wommack provided a positive update on the linebacker during his Monday press conference.
“Qua’s doing a really good job right now,” Wommack said. “Our training staff has done a tremendous job with him and preparing him to get back as soon as possible. And he has done a great job of pushing and is hitting all the markers he needs to hit, and certainly we anticipate him to be back sooner than later.”
Kalen DeBoer shared more insight into where Russaw is during his press conference.
“He’s made good progress,” DeBoer said. “That continues to be the case, probably don’t expect him to be ready to go this weekend, but he’s doing a lot more than he has. And you know that it’s very promising with the direction he’s been going.”
Russaw accounted for four total tackles, one sack and one tackle for loss before getting injured.
