Former Alabama football running back, Trent Richardson is issuing a challenge to the Crimson Tide’s leaders as Alabama looks to close the season strong.

The Tide is 8-2 and is ranked No. 10 in the College Football Playoff rankings. Alabama still has an opportunity to make the College Football Playoff and win a conference championship, but it has to win from this point on. Richardson took some time out to challenge Alabama’s leaders on the latest episode of “The Dynasty” podcast.

“To me, this is when I lean on leaders,” Richardson said. “Like, y’all gotta make a decision and we’re not just talking about championship. If y’all talking about getting drafted and all this other stuff, a lot of this stuff depends on this, man. Some of these guys last time putting on that crimson jersey, like, bro, it’s an honor to do what we’re doing. If these guys ain’t gonna take it serious, they need to get off the field. So, like it’s a challenge to these guys to refocus and play a one-game season every game. The run game gotta go well, the protection gotta go well, the defense gotta be hidden, gotta be forcing turnovers. We gotta be scoring in the red zone. We gotta convert on fourth downs, third downs, and We got to add special teams on that too, ’cause it got to be a part of it, ’cause it’s been big for us.”

Alabama will be back in action Saturday when the Tide takes on Eastern Illinois.
