Kalen DeBoer provides injury updates on key Alabama offensive starters ahead of SEC Championship

Alabama tight end Josh Cuevas celebrates a touchdown in Bryant-Denny Stadium

On Thursday, Kalen DeBoer provided an update on three Alabama offensive starters who are listed as questionable on the SEC Student-Athlete Availability Report.

Running back Jam Miller, left guard Kam Dewberry and tight end Josh Cuevas are all battling through injuries, and DeBoer was asked about those players on the SEC Coaches Teleconference.

“Jam, still questionable,” DeBoer said. “Kam Dewberry is coming along as the week progresses, and Josh Cuevas, same as Jam. Kind of see here at the end of the week. So, you know, I know all those guys a couple weeks down the road will be definitely good to go.”

Miller went down in the Iron Bowl with a lower leg injury, hopping off the field without putting much weight on it. Dewberry also played against Auburn, but DeBoer did not give any word on what Dewberry is dealing with. Cuevas suffered an injury during the week of practice that led up to the Iron Bowl, and he did not play against the Tigers.

It will be important to monitor the SEC Student-Athlete Availability Report as it is updated each night.
