Alabama football’s five-star running back signee Ezavier Crowell is excited about the opportunity to make an impact as a freshman for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Jackson, Alabama, product signed with the Crimson Tide last week. After making it official with the Tide, he made a statement in the Class 4A State Championship when he rushed for 304 yards and five touchdowns. Kalen DeBoer stated he felt Crowell could be an immediate contributor in Tuscaloosa after the talented back signed with Alabama.

“He makes plays, and he can break tackles in small areas,” DeBoer said. “He can run you over. He’s got the ability to make you miss and then he ends up in the end zone, and so he’s got that finishing speed too. So as a big kid, I’m just really excited how he’s gonna come in, and it’s really kind of amazing when you think that he should have another year. Then we’re even thinking of him as being a guy that can kind of help us just like a lot of these guys as a freshman.”

Crowell was asked about DeBoer’s statement on Monday.

“When I read the article, it felt good, but I gotta get in, get to work and then maybe I can hopefully do that,” Crowell said.

The Alabama native is set to enroll early at the University of Alabama.
