Alabama football’s elite 2026 wide receiver signee, Cederian Morgan appears to be a fan of the Crimson Tide’s new wide receiver coach, Derrick Nix.
The Crimson Tide is expected to hire Nix, according to multiple reports. Nix previously served as Auburn’s offensive coordinator.
The Tigers were in the mix for Morgan as one of his final schools before he verbally committed to the Crimson Tide. Morgan shared his approval of Nix by reacting to a report of the Alabama native joining the Tide with a smiling eye wink emoji.

Morgan signed with Alabama earlier this month after the Tide’s current wide receiver coach JaMarcus Shephard played a huge role in his decision to commit to the Tide in July. He recently told Touchdown Alabama why he decided to stick with his commitment after Shephard decided to take the Oregon State head coach job.
“Just our class that we got,” Morgan told Touchdown Alabama. “I think the number two class in the country and the brotherhood that we got, and I couldn’t see myself building that trust with them and then end up leaving the last week, last day of it. So, I wanted them to know that I’m here from this day. I trust them, and they trust me.”
Morgan will enroll at the University of Alabama in January.
