Ty Haywood is set to transfer to the University of Alabama after a year with Michigan. He is a former Alabama commit.
The Texas product was once rated as a five-star recruit by ESPN. He was also once committed to the Crimson Tide before de-committing and choosing to take his talents to Michigan as a 2025 recruit.
The 6-foot-5, 326-pounder played in three games as a freshman for the Wolverines.
Haywood was described as a massive offensive tackle at Ryan High School. His strength and size allowed him to physically dominate most high school defensive linemen. He seemed to have a great understanding of a wide variety of blocking assignments. He also showed the ability to be effective in pass protection, zone blocking and combo blocking.
