Montgomery Academy 4-Star ATH eyeing possible spring commitment

Braden Gordon is feeling a push from SEC and ACC programs.

Gordon attends Montgomery Academy in Montgomery, Alabama, and he is a 2027 four-star recruit. A group of schools is showing him a lot of love at the moment.

The Alabama product told Touchdown Alabama the Florida Gators, Miami, Georgia Tech, Kentucky and Arkansas are the programs recruiting him the hardest. Gordon has locked in an official visit with Florida.

“Last time I went up with the new staff, it was great just with my position coach and all the staff,” said Gordon. “It was a great vibe and a great place to be.”

Other schools are expected to get an official visit from Gordon. Kentucky, Georgia Tech and Miami are other schools the four-star could see himself officially visiting at the moment. He is considering announcing a commitment in the spring.

“I wanna be committed by this spring if I feel it’s right, but if not, I will just wait till I take all my official visits and then make it,” Gordon said.

At 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds, Gordon finished the 2025 season with 65 tackles, 10 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. He is considered a hybrid linebacker.

“Some inside, some outside, just whatever, however their scheme fits me,” Gordon said when asked what type of linebacker teams see him as. “I’ll be doing both at some place.”
