St. Frances Academy 6-foot-3 DB locks in official visit with Alabama

Elijah Butler has locked in an official visit with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Butler attends St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. His offer list is head turning with offers from Alabama, Indiana, Miami, Oregon, Texas A&M and others. The Crimson Tide will get him on campus for an official visit on the weekend of June 5. He will officially Virginia Tech a week earlier.

The Crimson Tide was among the many programs that offered Butler in January. The month was massive for the rangy defensive back. He reported 16 new offers.

“It means everything to me,” Butler told Touchdown Alabama after receiving an offer from Alabama. “They have a great reputation and team. I think the overall program is great and will definitely lead you in the right direction.”

The 6-foot-3 defensive back is a ball-hawking safety. He also fits the frame the Tide continues to go after at the safety position, with him weighing approximately 190 pounds. Butler also flows downhill and is able to make tackles in space, which is one of the things the Crimson Tide’s staff loves to see.
