Louisiana Tech is set to hire Alabama analyst Cole Thomas as its new tight ends coach according to a report from CBS Sports.
Thomas has served on Kalen DeBoer’s staff for the past two seasons and also worked with him at Washington as well. He has also had stops as an assistant at Abilene Christian and his alma mater Texas Tech.
The 25-year-old began his career in college football as an offensive tackle with Texas Tech where he joined the program in 2019 as a three-star recruit.
He now joins a Louisiana Tech team coming off of an 8-5 finish in 2025.
