Alabama football’s four-star wide receiver target, Jaden Upshaw is eyeing a spring commitment decision.

Upshaw attends Lee County High School in Georgia, and he is a 2027 four-star recruit. The Georgia product currently has Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Tennessee, Texas A&M and USC in his top six.

The four-star has announced plans to officially visit Alabama, Florida and Texas A&M. He plans to make it to Tuscaloosa this spring for an unofficial visit.

“I don’t have a set date, but I’m working on it,” Upshaw said.

Contact with Alabama has ‘definitely’ been great for Upshaw. The Tide’s wide receiver coach Derrick Nix has been in constant contact with him.

“He sends me a little something every day, a (bible) scripture or something.”

A spring commitment decision is possible for Upshaw.

“I’m probably going to commit in April,” Upshaw told Touchdown Alabama.

Miami, Tennessee and Florida are the schools recruiting Upshaw the hardest outside of Alabama.

It is hard to find a wide receiver who plays with more of an edge than Upshaw. The 6-foot-2, 202-pounder blocks like he generally enjoys getting physical with defensive backs. This, combined with his ability to be tough and explosive after the catch, makes him a talented wideout prospect.
