Alabama football’s 2025 football season ended with the Indiana Hoosiers closing out the Crimson Tide in dominant fashion in a 38-3 win in the Rose Bowl.

The Hoosiers’ offense pounded its way through Alabama’s defense with 215 of its 407 total yards coming on the ground. The 2025-2026 Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza had an almost perfect day against Alabama. He finished the game completing 14 of 16 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns.

The feeling the Tide’s returning defensive players felt walking off the field after the game is burned into the minds of Alabama defenders.

“We still got that in the back of our mind,” Pierre said on “The Millers’ Edge.” “Nobody never wants that feeling walking off the field. So, we trying to put that into the aspect of every day as we working. We not trying to have that same feeling again. And the new guys that’s coming along, we trying to bring them with us.”

The Crimson Tide will take another step towards ensuring the 2026 football season does not end the way 2025 did on Sunday, when spring practice starts.
