Kaleb Ballard has the makeup of an elite prospect at 6-foot-5 and 215 pounds.
Ballard attends Wetumpka High School in Alabama, and he is a 2028 prospect. He currently holds offers from Florida State, Georgia State, Purdue, Tennessee State, Troy and Virginia Tech. He is receiving interest from Alabama, Auburn and Florida. The Tigers and Gators are set to host him for a visit this month.
Kaleb’s dad Howard Ballard played in the NFL as an offensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills and the Seattle Seahawks, and he was selected to two Pro Bowls with the Bills.
The sophomore tells Touchdown Alabama it feels ‘good’ to hold all the offers he has earned so far.
Ballard possesses positional versatility, blending size and athleticism. He can be a tight end or wide receiver at the next level. His size makes him a mismatch against defenders attempting to cover him. He flashes good ball skills with long arms, which points to him having a wide catch radius.
As he continues to develop his game, Ballard wants to perfect his route running as an area he wants to continue to focus on.
