Former Alabama running back, Trent Richardson was the subject of a fake post on X.

Richardson, who played college football at Alabama, saw his name go viral this week because of the post. A parody account, No3, posted Richardson had admitted the Tide paid him. A quote in the post was attributed to Richardson.

“Honestly, I don’t get why he’s (Nick Saban) even commenting on it, they gave me and my family $75,000 just to commit, plus $10,000 a month to stay at Alabama,” the fake quote read.

Richardson responded to the quote on “The Dynasty” podcast.

“That would never come out my mouth because it never happened. It’s funny, man, getting woken up to stuff like that, man. You hear rumors and stuff like that somebody done put some words in your mouth that you never says. I even had teammates calling me, “Hey, what’s this, this, and that? And I know you ain’t say nothing like that.” Come on, man. Y’all know better than that. If I was to be getting that when I was in school, I would’ve stayed my last year in school. Like, it wouldn’t have been a rush to go to the league.”
