ESPN host Mike Greenberg is not a fan of the Los Angeles Rams drafting Ty Simpson as the No. 13 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
“It’s an absolutely terrible pick by the Rams,” Greenberg said on the “Rich Eisen Show.” “It makes no sense whatsoever. He may wind up being the greatest player of all time, but they have Matthew Stafford at an age where he is the very definition of year to year. They had the best team in the NFL last year and didn’t win the whole thing. They literally got for the most valuable asset they had in this entire exercise of the NFL Draft, they got someone who will contribute zero to their effort to win the Super Bowl next year.”

Simpson was the second and final quarterback taken in the first round of this year’s draft. The decision by the Rams has been met with some pushback because the reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford starts at quarterback for the Rams.
Several people feel the pick should have gone on another type of player.
The reaction to who drafted Simpson has given the former Alabama quarterback a golden opportunity to prove a lot of people wrong as the quarterback of the future for the Rams.
