Alabama football is one of many programs that would love to have Ismael Camara suiting up for them in the future.

Camara is an extremely talented 2027 five-star offensive lineman prospect, and he currently attends Gilmer High School in Texas. Alabama, LSU, Oregon, Texas and Texas A&M are among the programs showing the impressive offensive lineman a lot of love.

The Crimson Tide is a factor in Camara’s recruitment because he respects the program.

“I have said it over and over, Bama is Bama,” Camara told Touchdown Alabama. “In my lifetime, no college football program has been more dominant, produced more NFL top-tier talent, and won more National Championships. It’s not that I am saying something that is my opinion; those are just facts. That is what I mean when I say Bama is Bama.”

Camara also has a lot of respect for Alabama’s offensive line coach Adrian Klemm, who has played in the NFL and won multiple Super Bowls as an offensive lineman.

“Coach Klemm has three Super Bowl rings as a player and has coached at the highest levels,” Camara said. “He is someone I look up to because he has been where I want to go. He runs his offensive line room like an NFL offensive line room because that is what he knows and where he is from. I think the best way to sum up our relationship is respect.”

Development is going to play a huge role in the decision Camara will make in the future. He wants to go somewhere he can continue to develop and become a better version of himself.

“I have been here and working on my body for two years now,” said Camara. “I am not where I am going to be, but going into my last year of high school, I have transformed my body into something that is starting to look like what is required at the next levels of football. All I know is that I have to keep working. The technical aspects of the game, my football IQ and developing the skills that will help my team win.”

At 6-foot-6 and 344 pounds, Camara considers himself to be a physical and dominant force in the trenches but a nice guy off the field.

“I am violent,” Camara said. “It is what I love most about this sport. There is no challenge like going against the best in the world and trying to move them against their will. It is the only place that I can go all out physically and put my hands on somebody and not land in jail. You have to love the fight and get fired up when you taste your own blood. Off the field, I am a nice guy, unless you are hurting kids. Then you are gonna get that guy that normally has a helmet on when I am in that mode. I am a protector on that front. Everything else is kind of locked into getting better at what I do on the field. My focus is there.”

Klemm is expected to make a trip to visit Camara at Gilmer this week.
