Jeremiah Beverly has announced a commitment to Alabama football.
Beverly attends Hilcrest High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and his commitment gives the Tide 12 2027 commits. He is the second edge prospect to commit to the Tide. Most recruiting sites consider the Alabama native to be a four-star recruit, but he is rated as a four-star by ESPN.
Alabama beat out Cincinnati, Troy and Wake Forest to land Beverly.
“The reason why I chose Alabama is because of the legacy that they have made here,” Beverly said. “The legacy they have made here, you would never see that legacy ever in another school. I don’t believe so. That’s why I made my decision. Not only the legacy, but also the culture in this program. No one talks about that. There’s a reason why Alabama is the way they are. It’s because of the culture, the way they bring each other is just amazing. The culture there is truly amazing. The people there are truly amazing. It’s just a family. It’s truly a family.”
The 6-foot-2, 235-pounder flashes signs of being an explosive and versatile defender up front. He plays with active hands and is strong at the point of attack. The Crimson Tide will likely recruit to play both the bandit and wolf position within Kane Wommack’s defensive scheme.
