Birmingham 4-Star DB aiming to start beginning stages of cutting recruitment down soon

CJ Craig-James is aiming to start cutting down his recruitment soon, he tells Touchdown Alabama.

Craig-James attends Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama, and he is considered to be one of the best 2028 safety prospects in the country. Most recruiting sites have him rated as a four-star recruit at the moment. His offer list includes more than 40 college football offers, including offers from Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Miami, Ohio State and others.

This is considered to be the very early stages in the recruitment of the four-star. He is looking to cut his recruitment down to between 12 and 14 teams this summer. As he looks to cut into his long list of offers soon, Craig-James will be looking to consider several key factors ahead of his first cut.

“I am looking for overall development, a team that is getting defensive backs to the NFL, staff stability, a winning culture and realistic chances to make the playoffs,” Craig-James said.

At 6-foot-3, Craig-James is a long safety who hovers around the backend of the Parker defense with great anticipation skills and impressive closing speed on the football field. He is known as a physical defensive back, and he wants there to be no doubt about his speed going forward.
