Alabama football safety named to Walter Camp Preseason All-American second team

Bray Hubbard was named to the 2026 Walter Camp Preseason All-American second team on Tuesday.

Hubbard is set to enter his senior season with the Crimson Tide this fall. He is coming off an impressive 2025 campaign, where he finished the season with 79 total tackles, four interceptions, three forced fumbles and two sacks. Ellis Robinson of Georgia, Marcus Ratcliffe of Texas A&M and Bryce Fitzgerald of Miami join Hubbard on the second team at defensive back.

Kelley Jones of Mississippi State, Leonard Moore of Notre Dame, Brandon Finney, Jr. of Oregon and KJ Bolden of Georgia make up the first team of defensive backs.

Hubbard returned to Alabama and decided not to enter the NFL Draft after last season. This move was one that Alabama coaches and players were excited about.

“Whenever Bray returned, I called him,” Alabama cornerback, Dijon Lee said. “I was jumping on the phone, and we was laughing, but you know, we had to get to work. And then Sabb, same thing pretty much. Just happy for them guys to be back.”

The Mississippi native is expected to be a key leader for Alabama this fall.
