Florida prosecutors have filed a motion for Terrion Arnold to wear a GPS ankle monitor if he makes his bond after he was released by the Detroit Lions.
Arnold’s lawyers previously presented an argument against Arnold wearing an ankle monitor due to it prohibiting him from playing in the NFL after prosecutors attempted to make it a condition of his bond.
“The State’s position is that the Court denied the State’s request for a GPS monitor, due to the representation that the Defendant would be employed by the NFL, and the Defendant would be monitored by his team and the media,” the State Attorney’s Office wrote in a court filing in Hillsborough County, Fla., on Tuesday morning.
The former Alabama and Detroit Lions cornerback was arrested on multiple felony charges, including armed robbery and kidnapping. He has since been granted a $1 million bond and released by the Detroit Lions.
The current conditions of his bond are no contact with co-defendants or witnesses and surrender of his passport. He is also confined to his residence except for work and legal appointments.
Arnold remained in custody as of Tuesday morning.
