Alabama football’s offensive lineman, Michael Carroll attended the annual Offensive Line Masterminds Summit.

Launched by offensive line trainer Duke Manyweather and Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive lineman Lane Johnson, the summit is designed to offer fellowship and advance the offensive line position. More than 300 offensive linemen attend the summit and hear from some of the best to ever play or train the position.

Carroll is expected to start at guard for the Tide as a sophomore this fall. While he had the skill set to play tackle, Alabama appears to feel they will benefit from letting him line up at guard.

“I wanted to come in here and play tackle, but I knew my versatility coming in here,” Carroll said after A-Day. “I can play guard or tackle. I am just a football player at the end of the day.”

The Pennsylvania native started in six games last season while playing in 14 games.
