Alabama football will square off against some talented linebackers this fall during the 2026 college football season.
Touchdown Alabama takes a look at the top linebackers the Crimson Tide will try to have success against:
1. Xavier Atkins – Auburn
Atkins returns to Auburn as one of the best linebackers in college football. He is coming off a season where he had 61 solo tackles, which led the SEC during his first season with the Tigers. He also added nine sacks and two forced fumbles. He flies all over the field with great closing speed and has an exceptional ability to play in space. At 6-foot and 210 pounds, it is easy to see why Atkins is projected to be an NFL linebacker in the future. He was disruptive getting after the quarterback when the Tide took on Auburn last season. He finished the game with 1.5 sacks.
