The Alabama Crimson Tide will be faced with an absolute gauntlet of a schedule during the heart of SEC play in October.
The Tide will begin the year as the clear favorite across the first five matchups of this upcoming season. Alabama will face some of the top teams in the nation from Week 7 to Week 10, as the Tide will undoubtedly need to play at a high level throughout the entirety of conference play in 2026.
Alabama will face Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M and LSU over a five week span in October and November. Fox Sports’ analyst Joel Klatt recently named the Tide’s ‘pressure point’ on the schedule in 2026, as Klatt believes Alabama could have their hands full against Texas A&M during Week 8.
“Where is the pressure point on the schedule?” He said. “I’m falling on this October 24th game against Texas A&M. Here’s that four game stretch I was talking about. This four game stretch is October 10th Georgia, October 17th at Tennessee, October 24th A&M, then they have an open date then November 7th at LSU. That’s really difficult, and the pressure point for me is A&M. I think DeBoer can even explain away a loss to Georgia and certainly even at LSU.”
Texas A&M was widely regarded as one of the top teams in the nation across the entire 2025 campaign. The Tide will need to contain star quarterback Marcel Reed to the best of their ability during the matchup, but Alabama could enter the contest as the favorite nonetheless.
