Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer will look to build upon last years’ success throughout the 2026 campaign.
DeBoer and the Tide held an overall record of 11-4 last season. Alabama was able to secure their first playoff victory since 2021, as the Tide defeated the Oklahoma Sooners on the road by a final score of 34-24.
DeBoer has reportedly been focused on his health in addition to his preparation with the Tide this offseason. The Alabama head coach recently revealed an update on his weight loss journey, as DeBoer claims he has prioritized his health over the past few years.
“It’s been something that my goal has just been try to be healthier every day,” DeBoer said. “Especially when it comes to the long season. You’ve got to be ready for it. You ask your players to be mentally and physically ready. I think as a coach and a staff member, it’s only going to help you when you’re in the grind and you’re going through the long year. It’s been something I’ve been consciously been trying to make an effort on over the last few years.”
DeBoer has lost a significant amount of weight over his first two seasons in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide head coach appears to be improving both on and off the gridiron, but DeBoer remains focused on Alabama’s preparation for the 2026 campaign nonetheless.
