Several teams would love to have Avrian Pauley verbally committed to play college football for them. However, Pauley remains committed to the Crimson Tide.
Pauley is a 2027 defensive line prospect out of McGill-Toolen High School in Mobile, Alabama. He has been committed to Alabama since April, choosing the Tide over Florida State and others.
One of the biggest reasons Pauley stays committed to the Tide is because of his relationship with the Tide’s defensive coordinator Kane Wommack.
“Mainly his plan for me, how he can see me in the future,” Pauley said. “And really just, I built my commitment off relationships with the coaches there. So I feel like that’s a big reason why I chose Alabama is because of relationships.”
At 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, Pauley has the potential to play multiple positions along the defensive front at the next level with his versatility. Wommack’s defensive scheme should allow him to see playing time at different spots with the Tide in the future. His frame fits perfectly with the defensive linemen currently on Alabama football’s roster.
