Former Alabama football running back and CBS college football analyst Damien Harris feels the Crimson Tide is not the most dangerous team sitting outside of the Preseason  AP Top 25 Poll. Harris thinks it is the LSU Tigers.

The Crimson Tide is ranked No. 13 in the AP Poll, while the LSU Tigers are ranked No. 11. Harris feels the Tigers have to be the most dangerous team because of the attention Kiffin’s going to LSU created.

“It’s not the Alabama Crimson Tide,” Harris said. “It’s the LSU Tigers. Because if it’s not, what the hell have we been talking about all offseason? If not, what the hell are they paying Lane Kiffin all this money for? If not, why the hell did Lane Kiffin leave Ole Miss, where he said he didn’t feel like he had the ultimate resources to win a national championship, to recruit, to do everything that he needed to do to be successful? If it is not LSU, now we have just wasted a complete, not even just an offseason, more than half of last season focused on what Lane Kiffin going to LSU means for this program. It had better be Lane Kiffin and the Tigers being the, the most just vital team, the team that, although they’re outside of the top 10, they better have the best chances of knocking some people off and getting to the college football playoffs. Because again, we’ve been wasting a ton of time if it’s not them.”

LSU opens the season against Clemson on Sept. 5. The Tide will take on East Carolina.
