Alabama wide receiver returns to practice after suffering serious injury on A-Day

Noah Rogers suffered a serious lower-body injuring during the Alabama Crimson Tide’s spring game A-Day, and he was expected to miss some serious time because of the injury.

However, the North Carolina State transfer was spotted at practice Sunday in photos released to the media by Alabama Athletics. Rogers’ return to practice sparked a conversation about a possible faster return to the playing field. Kalen DeBoer provided a positive health update on Roger’s during an interview with Ryan Fowler in Tide 100.9 in July.

“He’s doing a great job,” DeBoer said. “I think early on, when he first was injured, there was probably a timeline that he’s surpassed,” DeBoer said. “I would expect him to still miss some games early in the season. I’m not going to set limits on what he can do as far as how quickly he can come back; we want to be smart, but he has done a phenomenal job, along with our elite training staff and medical staff, to execute the plan that was in place, and he’s coming along very nicely, let’s put it that way.”

Rogers pulled in 33 receptions for 441 yards and two touchdowns last season at North Carolina State.
