The Alabama Crimson Tide will have a handful of players returning punts on Saturday against East Carolina.

The Tide are expected to rotate numerous punt returners during Week 1’s opening contest against the Pirates. Head coach Kalen DeBoer recently revealed Alabama’s primary returners during the weekly SEC teleconference, as DeBoer claims the majority of punts will be returned by four talented playmakers.

“You’ll see a combination of Ryan Williams, Trae’shawn Brown, Dijion Lee and Rico Scott.” DeBoer said. “More than likely there’s some other guys that are back there for our kickoff return, but they can rotate in as well. But those are the guys you want to have touching the football.”

Coleman-Williams returned two total punts last season for a total of 25 yards. Both Brown and Scott would prove to be excellent return options, and Lee appears to be emerging as a dynamic weapon in a handful of ways prior to kickoff as well.
