Ahead of this Saturday’s game against Florida State, Alabama defenders shared what they’ve seen from the Seminoles on film that makes their offense dangerous.

“They got a great quarterback that’s real mobile” Alabama defensive back Zabien Brown said in reference to Ashton Daniels. “Real physical running back, and they got real good guys on the outside that can go up and catch the ball.”

The Alabama defense faced Daniels last season during the Iron Bowl when Daniels was the starting quarterback at Auburn for the final game of the year, and Brown said the guys have an idea of what his tendencies are and will be ready for Daniels.

Alabama linebacker Caleb Woodson shared what he has seen in a Mike Norvell Florida State offense.

“They got a running quarterback, so we got to make sure we do a good job containing him,” Woodson said. “Other than that, good scheme and good offense, so we got to be ready for it.”

A lot of emphasis is being put on defending Daniels and his ability to scramble and take off, and the Alabama defense did not do a good job handling the legs of former Florida State quarterback Thomas Castellanos in 2025. However, this Crimson Tide team is keeping the 2025 loss in the past and believes this season’s team is a brand-new team with a mindset that this game not being about revenge.

It sounds like the Crimson Tide have nothing but confidence in their defense this season. The question that most fans and reporters have is whether the offense can get started early in the game against Florida State and be consistent.

Alabama will host Florida State this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will air on ABC.
