The Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Florida State Seminoles 50-36 in Tuscaloosa on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore quarterback Keelon Russell was excellent despite another slow start in the first quarter. Alabama’s offense as a whole recorded 567 yards in the victory, and a handful of key playmakers were able to make an impact both on the ground and through the air.
Freshman running back EJ Crowell was nothing short of elite in the Tide’s backfield as well. Russell took a moment to share his thoughts on Crowell’s performance following the game, as the quarterback claims the freshman has a plethora of tricks that are still up his sleeve.
“That dudes phenomenal.” Russell said. “He’s a ball player. He’s a great player, and he’s only shown y’all half of what he can do. And i’m sure coming into these next couple of weeks he’s going to do more phenomenal things.”
Crowell recorded 51 yards and one touchdown in the win, while Russell recorded 320 yards and three touchdowns through the air. The duo has proven to thrive on the ground numerous times across the first three weeks of the 2026 season, as both Russell and Crowell were elite once again on Saturday.
