California 4-Star DB feels like he will ‘fit right in’ at Alabama after visit

Jordan Hicks made his way to Tuscaloosa over the weekend to unofficially visit the Crimson Tide.

Hicks is a 2028 four-star defensive back, and he attends Mission Viejo High School in California, which is the same high school Alabama cornerback Dijon Lee attended. The junior holds offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas and others.

Alabama’s staff was able to make sure the defensive back ‘really enjoyed’ his trip to Tuscaloosa.

“The overall atmosphere and the relationship I have with the staff,” Hicks said when asked what stood out about his visit to Tuscaloosa.

Alabama’s defensive backs under Kane Wommack play all over the Tide’s defense. The versatility of the positions in Alabama’s secondary is something Hicks is a fan of.

“I like the way they use their defensive backs and how they are able to plug and play them anywhere on the field,” Hicks told Touchdown Alabama. “I feel I can fit right in.”

At 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, Hicks feels his instincts and ability to create takeaways are among the strengths of his game. Both parts of his game immediately jump out when his film is turned on. He breaks on the football with great instincts and tends to turn those great instincts into takeaways.

Hicks is expected to continue to be a top 2028 target for the Tide.
