Alabama football’s defensive coaching staff has to love the way the Alabama defense has played lately.

The Crimson Tide’s defense is not only making it hard for opposing offenses to score. They are also putting up points themselves. The Alabama defense has taken the ball away and put the football in the endzone in four of their five games this season.

This success has led to Wommack footing the bill for several dinners.

“We started off like when we get a defensive touchdown or a shutout, we take care of the coaching staff on Sunday night,” Wommack said. “And so I am certainly one of Chuck’s fish’s best customers at this point. The running joke now amongst the staff is they find some creative way, on top of anything else, to give a reason of why they get Chuck’s fish that week, and usually I give in, but it’s great. We have a great staff, awesome group of guys that they work their tail off and they make a sacrifice to have something fun outside the building that we can do is really good, but makes it a whole lot easier. They always thank me. I always say thank the guy that got the defensive touchdowns, so this week it was Dijon (Lee).”

The Alabama defense will look to continue its success against the Georgia Bulldogs in a game that will have a lot of eye balls on it.
