Pair of Alabama players questionable for Georgia game

Jorden Edmonds and Josh Ford are both listed as questionable in the SEC Availability Report ahead of the Alabama Crimson Tide taking on the Georgia Bulldogs.

Edmonds suffered an injury in fall camp and has not played a game for the Crimson Tide this season. The former five-star could provide some depth to the Tide’s cornerback room when he is back fully healthy.

Ford, a tight end for the Tide, suffered a broken arm against Mississippi State.

“Josh, he actually broke his arm in the game on Saturday,” DeBoer said on Wednesday. “Had surgery on Sunday and is determined to get on the football field. Actually, progressing along fairly well right now. We’ll kind of see how the week continues for him, and I know where his mindset’s at. He got to make sure he meets the levels that we need him to meet as far as being physically ready. So he’s doing a great job. It’s going well, so, you know, we’re optimistic.”

Justin Hill, Desmond Umeozulu, Cayden Jones, Nick Sherman and Jeremiah Beaman remain out for the Tide.

Alabama will take on the Georgia Bulldogs in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday.
