Ryan Coleman-Williams challenging Alabama sophomore to step up

Alabama Wide Receiver Lotzeir Brooks (3) in action against Mississippi State at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, MS on Saturday, 10/3/26

The Alabama Crimson Tide are expected to be shorthanded on the road against Tennessee this weekend.

Star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams is currently listed as doubtful prior to Saturday’s contest in Knoxville. Coleman-Williams suffered a brutal helmet to helmet hit during last weekend’s loss to Georgia, and the route runner is now expected to be sidelined for the time being.

Alabama wide receiver Lotzeir Brooks recently took a moment to comment on his relationship with Coleman-Williams, as Brooks claims the duo has continued to lift each other up over the last two seasons.

“He’s really helped me a lot.” Brooks said. “Ryan, he’s always talking to me, always checking in on me. I’m always checking in on him, he always just telling me how I got to be a leader, just got to make a difference with other guys.”

Both Brooks and Coleman-Williams have gotten off to a stellar start in 2026. Brooks will undoubtedly need to step up this weekend in Coleman-Williams’ absence, and the sophomore will have an excellent opportunity to further cement himself as one of the top young leaders in Alabama’s locker room moving forward.
