What an Alabama linebacker feels the Tide’s defense has to do to get swagger back

The Alabama Crimson Tide find themselves in a critical position entering their matchup vs. Texas A&M this weekend.

Alabama has suffered back-to-back losses for the first time since 2007, and a third loss could ultimately end the Tide’s College Football Playoff hopes. Texas A&M’s offense features a handful of talent in quarterback Marcel Reed and former Crimson Tide receiver Isaiah Horton, and the Tide will need to be at their best defensively against the Aggies on Saturday.

Alabama linebacker Caleb Woodson recently spoke about the changes that the unit needs to make moving forward, as Woodson claims the group needs to get their “swagger” back.

“Just playing with confidence.” Woodson said. “Playing fast, playing together and playing with confidence. I think that’s that swagger we need.”

Alabama’s defense as a whole missed 23 total tackles during their 26-10 loss in Knoxville last Saturday. Woodson played at a high level with a team leading 11 tackles, but the unit as a whole will undoubtedly need to play much better football nonetheless.
