Former Titans DL went to his car to retrieve gun after altercation with former Alabama OL

Tennessee Titans rookie OT JC Latham (#55) participates in rookie minicamp.

It has been revealed that JC Latham was involved in the altercation that led Jordan Elliott to go retrieve his gun from his car after an incident in practice.

Latham addressed the encounter while talking to media members on Wednesday and revealed the incident happened after a team period.

“It’s just an unfortunate situation,” Latham said. “I mean, it’s just, you know, heat of the moment, shit happens. So ain’t really too much to say about it.”

The former Alabama offensive lineman said he and Elliott never had problems before the incident.

“I mean, it ain’t never been no bad blood between us two,” Latham told reporters. “We were here over the summer both getting treatment. Before that, we hung out whenever we were in the same city together. So we actually never had an argument leading up to it. I do think mental health is extremely important, and that’s just one of those situations where you just pray for a guy like that and just, if you can, reach out to him, hope for the best for him. But it’s no bad blood.”

Elliott has been released by the Titans.
