Alabama football went into its game against Texas A&M with the mindset that it would take all four quarters to defeat the Tide.

Kalen DeBoer revealed the thinking behind this after the game.

“We knew that they were a team; if you look at their scores, even in other games in the first half, even close to the end of the second quarter, those games were close,” DeBoer said. “And so against these guys tonight, we really felt like it was gonna be a four-quarter game, and we needed to continue to stay the course and just keep applying pressure, continue to play hard, play our game, understand that the third and fourth quarter was where we could separate ourselves.”

Alabama jumped out on the Aggies early on Saturday with a 10-0 lead after Marcel Reed threw two interceptions early. However, the Crimson Tide were not able to pull away from the Aggies. The two teams went into the game tied at halftime.

Alabama was able to create some separation in the second half by limiting the Aggies to three points and scoring fourteen points themselves.
