Alabama wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams could return to the Tide’s lineup on the road in Baton Rouge against LSU following the bye week.

Coleman-Williams has been sidelined since Week 6 with a right knee injury while also dealing with a concussion suffered against Georgia. The star route runner underwent arthroscopic surgery in hopes of returning to the gridiron as soon as possible, and Coleman-Williams may be set to return for Alabama’s crucial road contest against LSU in two weeks.

Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer took a moment to share an update on Coleman-Williams’ status earlier today, as DeBoer remains hopeful that the star could return in time for Week 10.

“Ryan in particular, I’m hopeful that he’ll be ready for the LSU game.” DeBoer said. “Really, a lot of the guys, this is a big week. They’re not in the clear yet, but we’re hoping that rolls over into next week to where they’ll be out there practicing. Not all of them are exactly on the same timeline, but Ryan in particular, I’ll hope by next week he’ll be able to give us quite a bit.”

Coleman-Williams would prove to be a massive addition to Alabama’s receiving corps if he is ultimately deemed healthy enough to play. The junior currently has 415 yards and 4 touchdowns on 23 total receptions, and Coleman-Williams appears to be on track to return in the near future following DeBoer’s latest update.
