Mitchell Turner has decided to shut down his recruitment and lock all the way in with Ole Miss after visiting Alabama on Saturday.

The Crimson Tide had Turner on campus on Saturday when they took on Texas A&M.

Turner is a four-star defensive lineman out of Louisville High School in Mississippi. He committed to the Rebels in June over Alabama, LSU and Texas. However, Alabama’s staff remained in contact with him and looked as if they were fighting to the end to pull Turner away from his home state.

“After talking with my family and taking some time to think, I’ve decided to officially shut down my recruitment. I’m 100% committed to Ole Miss and excited about what’s ahead. I appreciate every coach and program that believed in me,” Turner posted to X.

Alabama football has commitments from a pair of 2027 three-star defensive linemen in Kavarris Duncan and Avrian Pauley.
