College football world reacts to Alabama being No. 5 in first CFP ranking

Alabama football being ranked No. 5 in the first College Football Playoff Ranking has a lot of people talking.

Here is what is being said on social media:

What Bama team has this committee been watching?

WTH

To be very clear about Alabama…they’re ranked too high

But one thing I do applaud the Committee for is circling the MissSt game as a special circumstance (this should happen for Missouri & South Carolina’s resume to some extent too, the difference is Alabama beat MSU)

Beating MSU with Kamario Taylor should carry weight despite them falling off a cliff later in the season without him

This committee is the worst, most non-sensical one yet.

Alabama and Tennessee are both 6-2
Tennessee beat Bama 26-10. Completely dominated them.
Tennessee’s two losses are by a FG or less.

Bama is ranked #5. Tennessee is ranked #13.

As long as Alabama beats Vanderbilt, Chattanooga and Auburn, they’re in.

Saturday’s game at LSU doesn’t matter for Tide. That’s what the CFP committee has told us.

Alabama has pictures of somebody

My Lord I want LSU to beat the brakes off of Alabama

“Why did you rank Alabama so high?”

“They beat Mississippi State”

Words I never thought Id hear
