Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. releases statement after dismissal from Alabama football team

Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. released a statement following his dismissal from the Alabama football team.

The former Alabama defensive back was dismissed from the team after he was arrested on doxing and harassing communication charges that were related to his previous November arrest.

“It be crazy how fast people are to believe the media,” Kirkpatrick Jr. said in a post that was on his TikTok. “I just wanna appreciate my teammates for creating memories of a lifetime. Bama was nothing but good to me. Learned a lot of lessons, met a lot of great people. Time to move on to the next chapter in life. I’m blessed to be the only person in the world to know the true story. I wanna appreciate Coach Deboer and the whole staff for always believing in me and giving me opportunities to change my life.”

Kirkpatrick Jr. will likely have an opportunity to pursue continuing his college football career at another program by entering the transfer portal in the future.
