DeBoer highlights turning point for Alabama’s offense vs. LSU

The Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the LSU Tigers on the road this weekend by a final score of 31-13.

Alabama played arguably their most all-around game of the season on Saturday. A handful of key playmakers were able to step up on both sides of the ball, and the Tide are now 3-0 against the Tigers to begin the Kalen DeBoer era.

Coach DeBoer took a moment to comment on the win following the game, while also crediting Rico Scott for sparking the offense after his massive 57-yard grab.

“Just super proud of the guys, key win all around,” DeBoer said. “Defense coming up with some big stops, I believe they were 0-4 on fourth down. Got us in field position, offense taking advantage of that like they did. I thought the response when we were down there in the third quarter, hit the big play to Rico which sparked us instantaneously.”

Scott recorded 67 yards on three total receptions during the win over LSU tonight. Scott was able to build on his career performance against Texas A&M two weeks ago, and the route runner continues to emerge as a vital weapon behind Ryan Coleman-Williams across 2026.
