Lane Kiffin responds to Alabama’s trolling of popcorn comment

Lane Kiffin has a sense of humor, but the stunt he pulled versus Alabama did not work.

Crimson Tide fans and Big AL had their popcorn ready. Alabama routed Mississippi, 42-21, but the score did not indicate how dominant the Tide played. Nick Saban and Pete Golding witnessed a defense that started working together. Ole Miss had issues running the ball, and Matt Corral was uncomfortable. Kiffin’s play-calling on third and fourth downs was a problem too.

The Rebels were a combined 7-for-19 in those situations. College football fans roasted Kiffin on Twitter, but Alabama performed the best troll job. Jamie Erdahl, a sideline reporter for CBS Sports, posted a video of Big AL dancing in a popcorn costume.

She captioned the video: “This feels… ..purposeful?”

Kiffin responded by wishing Alabama the best, but he’s looking forward to next season.

The Tide is 5-0, and Saban remains undefeated against his former assistants. Alabama faces Texas A&M this week.
