After leaving practice early Tuesday and missing Wednesday’s practice Eddie Lacy returned to the field on Thursday. The former Crimson Tide back had been sidelined with foot soreness, but after the medical staff found no further damage Lacy was cleared for practice.
Upon his return Lacy made sure to make a statement on the field on Thursday. Lacy showed that this injury did not lower his intensity, as he used all of his 234 pound frame to show that he is already in midseason form.
No player felt it more than former Canadian and Indoor Football League linebacker Josh Francis, who attempted to tackle Lacy and was left on the ground and on his back as Lacy ran for a touchdown.
It has been plays just like that, which have made Lacy one of the most feared backs in the NFL. The Packers can only hope that Lacy takes his dominance on the practice field and translates it into a success in 2015.
