Waddle got selected at No. 6 overall and turned in a fantastic rookie season.
He set a franchise rookie record for receiving yards (1,015) and Waddle set the National Football League mark in receptions for a rookie (104) in a single season. He surpassed Anquan Bolden’s mark of 101 receptions from his rookie year in 2003 with the Arizona Cardinals. Waddle totaled five receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s game against the Patriots.
He is eighth in the league for receptions and is in the running for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
He joins Mac Jones, Najee Harris, and DeVonta Smith as fellow rookies from the Crimson Tide that broke records in 2021.
Miami has a dynamic weapon in Waddle for years to come.
