Walter Bob will not sign with Alabama Wednesday, according to the Daily Advertiser.
Bob’s high school head coach Matt McCullough told the Daily Advertiser the long-time Alabama commit would be attending Hutchinson Community College. McCullough also stated Bob plans to join the Alabama football program once he moves on from Hutchinson.
Bob verbally committed to Alabama on Feb. 1, 2021 immediately after the Tide offered him. He told Touchdown Alabama that was a very emotional moment.
“It was a very emotional moment for my family and me,” Bob said. “I never even expected to get an offer from them, but the timing was perfect. Coach Golding was really excited when I told him. He told me that he felt I was an inspired player and that I was a great player on the football field, very tough. All of their players are major factors, and I want to be a part of that program.”
