A former Alabama defensive back has been busy during his NFL Draft process.
Brian Branch has visited six teams so far and will meet with two more Wednesday. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the native Georgian is visiting the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons. Branch could be the first safety taken in the draft and possibly a first-round pick. As a former four-star in the 2020 class, he helped the Crimson Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship as a freshman. The 6-foot, 190-pounder became a swiss-army knife for Alabama’s secondary.
#Bama versatile DB Brian Branch is visiting the #Giants today, source says. A potential first safety off the board, he’s also visited the #Texans, #Commanders, #Raiders. #Vikings, #Lions, and #Eagles, while also doing the #Falcons local day.

Branch enjoyed a strong campaign in 2022 with 90 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, three sacks, seven pass breakups, two quarterback hurries, and two interceptions. If the Giants were to get Branch, they would pair him with former Tide safety Xavier McKinney.
