He told reporters for Alabama football that Crimson Tide’s goal on the offensive line is to be ‘ruthless’ in the fall.
JC Latham, a junior offensive tackle, wants opponents to be afraid of the Tide at the line of scrimmage. His expectation is for Alabama to be physical in the trenches and push others around. After winning the Allstate Sugar Bowl against Kansas State, the former five-star pinned a status to his Twitter profile. Latham said he wants the Tide to win the Joe Moore Award, go undefeated, and win a College Football Playoff National Championship. He also wants to win the Outland Trophy for best interior lineman.

The 6-foot-6, 335-pounder is doing what he needs to accomplish his goals. Latham has been on a mission in Alabama’s weight room with David Ballou and UJ Johnson. Both coaches helped Latham reach the 1,000-pound squat club for the team.

Latham’s lower-body strength and explosion will be significant in run-blocking and pass protection.

He could be an early first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft with a successful season.
